Project Description
Gridley High School recently completed the construction of a new CTE Health Pathway building that houses four classrooms. These new rooms are lab-style and occupy one wing of the new building. D&D helped design the FF&E for this building, beginning in the design phase before construction began.
For this project, all the VS America furniture in the instructional area is flexible and easy to re-confiture. The chairs are cantilever style and can be easily stacked. The desks can be moved with “wheel-barrow” style casters, and are designed to stack as well. The room design includes plenty of built-in islands and space for science experiments, and the VS stools provided are comfortable, yet stacking like the other furniture.
“The quality of the furniture is top notch, and should last for decades”, said Dean Smith, Project Manager and owner of D&D Learning Spaces. The colors and models of the furniture items match the same furniture in the adjacent building completed in 2023 to provide continuity.
