WB Manufacturing Limited Lifetime Warranty Summary

D&D Learning Spaces is an authorized WB Manufacturing dealer. WB Manufacturing backs its educational, commercial and institutional furniture with warranty coverage against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship. Coverage varies according to the type of furniture, work surface, component or operating mechanism.

What Does WB Manufacturing’s Limited Lifetime Warranty Mean?

WB Manufacturing’s limited lifetime warranty means that qualifying WB Manufacturing furniture is protected against substantial defects in its original materials and workmanship for as long as the original end-user owns the product.

For customers, this means that WB Manufacturing may repair or replace a covered product or component if it fails during normal use because of a qualifying manufacturing or material defect. The warranty begins on the date the product is delivered to the end-user.

The warranty applies to the original purchasing organization or customer that acquired the furniture through an authorized WB Manufacturing dealer for its own use. It does not apply to products purchased for resale, remarketing or distribution.

The warranty is also non-transferable. If the furniture is sold, donated or transferred to another organization or owner, the warranty does not transfer with it.

A limited lifetime warranty does not mean that every surface, moving part or accessory is covered forever. Some frequently used components and specialized materials have separate warranty periods of 12 years, five years or one year. Normal wear, accidental damage, improper maintenance and other excluded conditions are not considered manufacturing defects.

What Is Covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty?

WB Manufacturing provides limited lifetime coverage for qualifying products in the following categories:

  • Laminate furniture
  • Book Nook products
  • CaseworkUSA® storage
  • REplay® laminate lockers and cubbies
  • REplay® storage cabinets
  • Rhapsody® music storage
  • Storage Solutions
  • World Famous Lockers
  • Steel-frame desks
  • Steel-frame tables
  • Chairs
  • Stools

These products are warranted to be free from substantial defects in their original materials and workmanship from the date of delivery, subject to WB Manufacturing’s exclusions and limitations.

WB Manufacturing also states that its laminate furniture is manufactured to meet AWI Custom Grade or better, as defined by the referenced AWI standards, unless the project’s contract documents specify otherwise.

What Does “Substantial Defects” Mean?

The warranty is intended to address meaningful problems caused by the way a product was manufactured or by defective original materials.

Examples could include a qualifying structural, fabrication or material failure that occurs during normal use. The warranty does not cover minor cosmetic changes, ordinary surface wear or damage caused after delivery through misuse, accidents, improper installation or environmental exposure.

WB Manufacturing determines whether a reported condition qualifies as a defect under the warranty and whether repair, replacement or another available remedy is appropriate.

Product-Specific Warranty Periods

Certain WB Manufacturing products and components are covered for a defined number of years rather than for the lifetime of the furniture.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The following WB Manufacturing product categories carry limited lifetime coverage for substantial defects in original materials and workmanship:

  • Laminate furniture
  • Book Nook products
  • CaseworkUSA® storage
  • REplay® laminate lockers and cubbies
  • REplay® storage cabinets
  • Rhapsody® music storage
  • Storage Solutions
  • World Famous Lockers
  • Steel-frame desks, tables, chairs and stools

Coverage begins on the date of delivery and continues for as long as the original end-user owns the product, subject to the warranty’s exclusions and limitations.

Work Surfaces and High-Wear Components — 12-Year Warranty

WB Manufacturing provides a 12-year warranty from the date of delivery for the following products and components:

  • Laminate tops
  • Butcher-block tops
  • Phenolic tops
  • Epoxy tops
  • Stainless-steel tops
  • High-wear parts
  • Movable parts, including casters and glides

These items are warranted against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship during the 12-year coverage period.

The 12-year warranty applies to manufacturing defects. It does not cover ordinary scratching, surface wear or other deterioration expected through normal use.

Pneumatic and Flip-Mechanism Bases — Five-Year Warranty

WB Manufacturing provides a five-year warranty from the date of delivery for:

  • Pneumatic bases
  • Bases equipped with flip mechanisms

These mechanisms are covered against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The five-year warranty applies specifically to the pneumatic or flip-base mechanism. Other portions of the furniture may be covered under a different warranty period.

Electrical Components — One-Year Warranty

Electrical components supplied as part of WB Manufacturing furniture carry a one-year warranty from the date of delivery.

The warranty covers substantial defects in the electrical component’s original materials and workmanship.

Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, liquid exposure or failure to follow applicable instructions is not covered.

Dry-Erase Markerboard Surfaces — One-Year Warranty

WB Manufacturing dry-erase markerboard surfaces carry a one-year warranty from the date of delivery against substantial defects in their original materials and workmanship.

Normal ghosting, staining or changes caused through ordinary use are specifically excluded from warranty coverage.

Summary of WB Manufacturing Warranty Periods

Steel-frame desks, tables, chairs and stools Limited lifetime
Laminate tops 12 years
Butcher-block tops 12 years
Phenolic tops 12 years
Epoxy tops 12 years

All stated warranty periods begin on the date of delivery to the end-user.

What Is Not Covered?

WB Manufacturing’s warranty does not cover damage or product conditions resulting from:

  • Abuse or unruly use
  • Product modification or alteration
  • Carrier or freight damage
  • Ordinary wear and tear
  • Scratching of laminate, phenolic, epoxy or butcher-block surfaces
  • Ghosting on dry-erase markerboard surfaces
  • Improper installation or assembly
  • Failure to follow product specifications or assembly instructions
  • Failure to follow WB Manufacturing recommendations or warnings
  • Inadequate inspection or maintenance
  • Unauthorized attachments or modifications
  • Exposure to water or dense humidity
  • Accidents
  • Vandalism
  • Outdoor use
  • Customer-supplied or customer-requested materials

These conditions are excluded because they are not considered defects in the product’s original materials or workmanship.

Normal Wear and Surface Changes

Furniture surfaces naturally change with use. WB Manufacturing does not consider ordinary wear and tear to be a manufacturing defect.

Examples include:

  • Scratches on laminate work surfaces
  • Scratches or wear on phenolic surfaces
  • Scratches or wear on epoxy tops
  • Marks or wear on butcher-block tops
  • Ghosting on dry-erase surfaces
  • Natural variations in color, grain or texture

Natural color variations in plastics, laminates, paints and other materials are inherent characteristics and are not covered as defects. WB Manufacturing also does not warrant exact color-fastness or matching among colors, grains and textures.

Outdoor Use Is Not Covered

WB Manufacturing states that its products are not recommended or warranted for outdoor use. Damage or deterioration resulting from outdoor placement, exposure to water or exposure to dense humidity is not covered.

Products should be placed and stored in controlled indoor environments unless WB Manufacturing provides different written specifications for a particular product.

Customer Care and Maintenance Responsibilities

To remain eligible for warranty coverage, WB Manufacturing products must be:

  • Stored in areas with controlled temperature and humidity
  • Assembled and installed according to the supplied instructions
  • Used according to the product specifications
  • Inspected and maintained regularly
  • Cleaned using appropriate, non-abrasive products

WB Manufacturing recommends cleaning high-pressure laminate with warm water and a non-abrasive cleaner. Abrasive materials should not be used because they may scratch or damage the surface.

Failure to perform regular maintenance or follow the manufacturer’s instructions may result in a claim being excluded from coverage.

What Will WB Manufacturing Do for an Approved Claim?

When WB Manufacturing determines that a product or component is defective under the applicable warranty, it may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the affected portion of the product
  • Replace the affected portion or product
  • Substitute a reasonably comparable product
  • Provide a refund of the original purchase price, less reasonable depreciation, when the original product is no longer manufactured

Repair or replacement is WB Manufacturing’s sole and exclusive remedy for a product found to be defective under the warranty.

WB Manufacturing decides which remedy is appropriate based on the product, the nature of the defect and whether the original product remains available.

Freight and Installation Costs

Freight and installation expenses are not included in WB Manufacturing’s warranty coverage. The customer may therefore be responsible for costs associated with:

  • Shipping replacement parts or products
  • Removing the original product
  • Installing a replacement product or component
  • Labor or related on-site services

Carrier damage is handled separately under WB Manufacturing’s freight terms and should be reported promptly when a shipment is received.

Warranty notice: This page is a customer-friendly summary of WB Manufacturing’s published warranty terms. It does not replace, extend or modify the manufacturer’s official warranty. Warranty coverage is subject to WB Manufacturing’s complete terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions, and the official warranty applicable to the product and purchase date will govern any claim.

Diversified Spaces Limited Lifetime Warranty

D&D Learning Spaces is an authorized dealer for Diversified Spaces products. Diversified Spaces manufactures science-lab furniture, makerspace furniture, art-room furniture, career and technical education furniture, workbenches, storage cabinets, demonstration tables, mobile workstations and specialized instructional furniture for schools, colleges and institutional environments.

Diversified Spaces provides several levels of warranty coverage:

  • Limited lifetime warranty for qualifying Diversified Spaces products and structural components
  • 12-year warranty for designated worksurfaces and movable parts
  • One-year warranty for wood veneer, electrical components and dry-erase markerboard surfaces
  • Six-month warranty for hand sanitizers and dispensers

Warranty coverage begins on the date of delivery to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

What Does Diversified Spaces’ Limited Lifetime Warranty Mean?

Diversified Spaces promises to repair or replace a Diversified Spaces-brand product or component that is defective in materials or workmanship under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns it.

For customers, this means Diversified Spaces may provide a warranty remedy when a qualifying product develops a manufacturing or material defect and all warranty conditions have been satisfied.

The limited lifetime warranty:

  • Begins on the date of delivery
  • Applies to the original purchaser
  • Is non-transferable
  • Continues only while the original purchaser owns the product
  • Applies to normal intended use
  • Requires proper storage, installation, use and maintenance
  • Remains subject to the product-specific warranty periods and exclusions

Repair or replacement is the sole and exclusive remedy for products determined to be defective, although Diversified Spaces may provide a comparable substitute or depreciated refund in certain circumstances.

A limited lifetime warranty does not mean that every surface, component or accessory is covered for life. Worksurfaces, movable parts, electrical components, veneer, markerboard surfaces and sanitizer products carry shorter warranty periods.

Who Is Covered?

The Diversified Spaces warranty applies to the original purchaser.

Diversified Spaces defines the original purchaser as the final purchasing entity that acquires the product from an authorized Diversified Spaces dealer for its own use—not for resale, remarketing or distribution.

The warranty is non-transferable and does not automatically pass to another owner when furniture is:

  • Sold
  • Donated
  • Transferred to another organization
  • Acquired through a surplus sale
  • Purchased secondhand
  • Remarketed or redistributed

Coverage remains valid only while the original purchaser owns the product.

Customers should retain:

  • The original D&D Learning Spaces invoice
  • The purchase-order number
  • The Diversified Spaces product name
  • The model or item number
  • The delivery date
  • Product labels and identification information
  • Installation and assembly records
  • Maintenance records
  • Photographs of the complete product
  • Photographs of the reported defect

What Is Covered?

Diversified Spaces’ warranty covers qualifying defects in:

  • Original materials
  • Manufacturing
  • Workmanship
  • Structural product components
  • Covered worksurfaces
  • Covered movable components
  • Electrical components during their stated warranty period
  • Wood veneer during its stated warranty period
  • Dry-erase markerboard surfaces during their stated warranty period
  • Hand-sanitizer products during their stated warranty period

Coverage applies only when the product has been:

  • Stored in a controlled environment
  • Installed according to the product specifications
  • Assembled according to the instructions
  • Used for its intended purpose
  • Maintained according to Diversified Spaces’ recommendations
  • Protected from water and dense humidity
  • Subjected to normal educational or institutional use

Diversified Spaces determines whether the reported condition resulted from defective materials or workmanship.

What Is Not Covered?

Diversified Spaces’ warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Abuse
  • Unruly use
  • Misuse
  • Product modification
  • Product alteration
  • Improper installation
  • Improper assembly
  • Failure to follow product specifications
  • Failure to follow assembly instructions
  • Failure to follow Diversified Spaces’ recommendations or warnings
  • Failure to perform periodic maintenance
  • Exposure to water
  • Exposure to dense humidity
  • Outdoor use
  • Freight or carrier damage
  • Ordinary wear and tear
  • Accidental impact
  • Surface damage caused by moving or handling
  • Natural color or material variations

The warranty specifically excludes ordinary wear such as:

  • Scratching of laminate tops
  • Scratching of phenolic tops
  • Scratching of epoxy tops
  • Scratching of butcher-block tops
  • Ghosting on dry-erase markerboard surfaces
  • Chips caused while moving epoxy tops

Damage to epoxy surfaces caused by bumping one epoxy edge into another is also excluded.

Product-Specific Warranty Periods

Diversified Spaces assigns different warranty periods according to the product material or component involved.

Qualifying Diversified Spaces Products — Limited Lifetime Warranty

Diversified Spaces-brand products and components generally carry a limited lifetime warranty against material defects and faulty workmanship.

Coverage continues for as long as the original purchaser owns the product.

This warranty applies unless the component is assigned a shorter product-specific period.

Laminate Tops — 12-Year Warranty

Laminate tops carry a 12-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal scratching
  • Impact damage
  • Moisture damage
  • Edge damage
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning
  • Damage caused by misuse
  • Damage caused by unsuitable installation
  • Normal color or appearance variation

Butcher-Block Tops — 12-Year Warranty

Butcher-block tops carry a 12-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

Because butcher block is a natural wood material, the warranty does not cover:

  • Natural grain variation
  • Natural color variation
  • Surface scratches
  • Normal wear
  • Moisture-related damage
  • Swelling or splitting caused by uncontrolled humidity
  • Damage caused by failure to maintain the surface
  • Damage caused by unsuitable cleaners
  • Changes in appearance caused by age or use

Phenolic Tops — 12-Year Warranty

Phenolic tops carry a 12-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The warranty excludes normal scratching and damage caused by:

  • Improper handling
  • Impact
  • Cutting
  • Abrasive cleaning
  • Improper installation
  • Exposure outside the product’s intended application
  • Abuse or misuse

Epoxy Tops — 12-Year Warranty

Epoxy tops carry a 12-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Ordinary scratches
  • Chips caused while moving the top
  • Chipping caused when one epoxy edge contacts another
  • Cracks caused by impact
  • Damage caused by improper installation
  • Damage caused by moving or repositioning the furniture
  • Damage caused by abuse or misuse

Diversified Spaces specifically advises caution when abutting epoxy surfaces because the edges can chip or crack when bumped together.

Stainless-Steel Tops — 12-Year Warranty

Stainless-steel tops carry a 12-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The warranty does not automatically cover:

  • Scratches
  • Dents
  • Chemical staining
  • Discoloration
  • Damage caused by abrasive cleaning
  • Damage caused by misuse
  • Surface changes caused by normal use
  • Corrosion caused by improper maintenance or environmental exposure

High-Wear Components — 12-Year Warranty

Diversified Spaces identifies high-wear components as carrying a 12-year warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The exact component should be confirmed for the individual product because not every replaceable item is necessarily classified as a high-wear component.

Movable Parts — 12-Year Warranty

Movable parts carry a 12-year limited warranty.

Diversified Spaces specifically identifies examples such as:

  • Casters
  • Glides
  • Other qualifying movable components

The warranty covers substantial defects in original materials and workmanship—not ordinary wear, impact damage, misuse or failure to maintain the component.

Wood Veneer — One-Year Warranty

Wood veneer carries a one-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Natural color variation
  • Natural grain variation
  • Fading
  • Normal aging
  • Scratches
  • Water damage
  • Dense-humidity exposure
  • Damage caused by unsuitable cleaners
  • Chipping caused after delivery
  • Damage caused by misuse

Electrical Components — One-Year Warranty

Electrical components carry a one-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

Depending on the product, electrical components may include:

  • Power modules
  • Receptacles
  • Switches
  • Wiring assemblies
  • Powered accessories
  • Other original electrical components

Damage caused by improper power, unauthorized modification, water exposure or improper installation may not qualify.

Dry-Erase Markerboard Surfaces — One-Year Warranty

Dry-erase markerboard surfaces carry a one-year limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

The warranty specifically excludes ordinary markerboard ghosting.

Other potentially excluded conditions include:

  • Permanent-marker use
  • Scratching
  • Cutting
  • Abrasive cleaning
  • Damage caused by unsuitable chemicals
  • Surface staining
  • Normal appearance changes
  • Damage caused after delivery

Hand Sanitizers and Dispensers — Six-Month Warranty

Hand sanitizers and dispensers carry a six-month limited warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

Coverage does not automatically include:

  • Consumable sanitizer solution
  • Normal depletion
  • Clogs caused by unsuitable products
  • Damage caused by incompatible sanitizer
  • Misuse
  • Vandalism
  • Improper cleaning
  • Damage caused by liquids entering electrical components

Understanding Limited Lifetime Coverage

Diversified Spaces’ limited lifetime warranty does not apply to every material and component for the life of the product.

The lifetime coverage generally applies to qualifying Diversified Spaces products and components that are not assigned a shorter period.

The warranty:

  • Applies to the original purchaser
  • Is non-transferable
  • Continues only while the original purchaser owns the product
  • Covers material defects and faulty workmanship
  • Requires normal intended use
  • Requires proper storage and maintenance
  • Does not cover ordinary wear
  • Does not cover outdoor use
  • Does not include freight or installation costs

Components with 12-year, one-year or six-month terms remain limited to those stated periods.

Laboratory and Science-Room Worksurfaces

Diversified Spaces offers worksurfaces designed for science, laboratory, art, makerspace and technical-education applications.

Different worksurface materials have different performance characteristics. Customers should select, install and maintain the surface appropriate for the intended application.

Potential worksurface materials include:

  • Laminate
  • Butcher block
  • Phenolic
  • Epoxy
  • Stainless steel
  • Dry-erase markerboard surfaces

The warranty protects against qualifying material and workmanship defects but does not guarantee resistance to every chemical, tool, impact or classroom activity.

Epoxy-Surface Care

Epoxy surfaces are durable but can chip when edges strike hard objects or other epoxy surfaces.

Diversified Spaces advises caution when epoxy surfaces are placed next to one another.

Customers should:

  • Avoid bumping epoxy edges together
  • Use appropriate lifting equipment
  • Protect corners during installation
  • Avoid dragging tops
  • Avoid striking edges with carts or tools
  • Follow the installation instructions
  • Document damage before installation
  • Use trained installers for large or heavy tops

Chipping and cracking caused by one epoxy surface bumping into another are not covered.

Butcher-Block Care and Maintenance

Butcher block is a natural material that requires regular care.

Customers should:

  • Maintain the surface according to Diversified Spaces’ recommendations
  • Avoid prolonged water exposure
  • Clean spills promptly
  • Maintain appropriate indoor humidity
  • Avoid extreme temperature changes
  • Use suitable cleaning products
  • Protect the surface from cutting and impact
  • Follow any recommended oiling or refinishing procedures

Failure to maintain butcher block can lead to:

  • Drying
  • Splitting
  • Swelling
  • Warping
  • Staining
  • Surface roughness
  • Changes in finish

These conditions may not qualify when they result from environmental exposure or inadequate maintenance.

Dry-Erase Markerboard Care

Dry-erase surfaces should be used only with approved dry-erase markers and cleaners.

Customers should avoid:

  • Permanent markers
  • Paint markers
  • Abrasive pads
  • Scrapers
  • Sharp objects
  • Harsh solvents
  • Unapproved cleaning chemicals

Marker ghosting is considered ordinary wear and is expressly excluded from warranty coverage.

Casters, Glides and Movable Components

Qualifying movable parts, including casters and glides, carry a 12-year warranty against substantial defects in original materials and workmanship.

Customers should:

  • Inspect casters regularly
  • Remove debris from wheels
  • Use caster locks correctly
  • Avoid moving furniture over severe thresholds
  • Avoid overloading furniture
  • Replace worn glides
  • Tighten loose hardware
  • Move heavy furniture using sufficient personnel
  • Remove damaged products from service

Normal caster-wheel wear, impact damage and damage caused by overloading may not qualify.

Electrical Components and Power

Electrical components carry a one-year warranty.

Customers should:

  • Use properly grounded outlets
  • Follow the product’s voltage and load requirements
  • Avoid overloaded circuits
  • Protect electrical components from liquids
  • Use qualified installers
  • Avoid unsupported electrical modifications
  • Use the supplied power equipment
  • Report damaged cords or outlets promptly

Damage caused by improper building power, liquid exposure, misuse or unauthorized alteration may not qualify.

Controlled Temperature and Humidity

Diversified Spaces requires products to be stored in areas with controlled temperature and humidity.

This requirement is especially important for:

  • Wood furniture
  • Wood veneer
  • Butcher-block tops
  • Composite components
  • Laminated surfaces
  • Markerboard surfaces
  • Electrical components
  • Adhesive-bonded materials

Dense humidity or water exposure can cause:

  • Swelling
  • Warping
  • Delamination
  • Finish damage
  • Corrosion
  • Mold
  • Electrical failure

Product exposure to water or dense humidity is specifically excluded from the warranty.

Outdoor Use

Diversified Spaces products are not recommended or warranted for outdoor use.

This includes use in areas exposed to:

  • Rain
  • Irrigation
  • Direct weather
  • Standing water
  • Dense humidity
  • Outdoor temperature fluctuations
  • Prolonged sunlight
  • Salt air
  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions

Products placed in covered exterior areas may still be considered outdoors and may not qualify for warranty coverage.

Proper Installation and Assembly

Diversified Spaces products must be installed and assembled according to:

  • Product specifications
  • Assembly instructions
  • Installation instructions
  • Manufacturer recommendations
  • Safety warnings
  • Product-specific requirements

Products installed, used or maintained without following these requirements are excluded from coverage.

Customers should contact D&D Learning Spaces before:

  • Modifying a product
  • Drilling into a structural component
  • Altering a cabinet
  • Cutting a worksurface
  • Moving an epoxy top
  • Replacing electrical components
  • Adding unsupported accessories
  • Performing structural repairs

Required Maintenance

Periodic, regularly scheduled maintenance is required to maintain warranty eligibility.

Depending on the product, maintenance may include:

  • Tightening hardware
  • Inspecting casters and glides
  • Cleaning worksurfaces
  • Maintaining butcher-block finishes
  • Checking cabinet doors and hinges
  • Inspecting electrical components
  • Protecting products from moisture
  • Cleaning dry-erase surfaces
  • Checking plumbing fixtures
  • Reviewing mounting and anchoring
  • Repairing minor finish damage

Diversified Spaces directs customers to its separate care-and-maintenance documents for more detailed instructions.

Natural Material and Color Variations

Natural color and appearance variations are not considered defects.

Diversified Spaces identifies possible variations in:

  • Wood
  • Wood veneer
  • Plastics
  • Laminates
  • Paints
  • Other natural materials

The warranty does not guarantee:

  • Exact color matching
  • Permanent colorfastness
  • Identical grain
  • Identical texture
  • Exact matching between old and replacement components
  • Uniform aging or fading

Color, grain and texture variations inherent to the material are excluded from warranty coverage.

Freight and Carrier Damage

Damage caused in transit by the carrier is not covered under the product warranty.

Diversified Spaces directs customers to contact Customer Service regarding carrier damage.

Customers should inspect every shipment promptly and retain:

  • Cartons
  • Pallets
  • Protective packaging
  • Shipping labels
  • Delivery receipts
  • Bills of lading
  • Photographs before unloading
  • Photographs of visible packaging damage
  • Photographs of concealed damage
  • Product model and order information

Visible damage should be noted on the delivery receipt before it is signed.

D&D Learning Spaces should be notified promptly so the issue can be addressed through the appropriate freight-claim process.

Installation Costs and Freight Expenses

Freight and installation costs are excluded from warranty consideration and are the purchaser’s responsibility.

An approved warranty claim does not automatically include:

  • Freight
  • Delivery
  • Removal
  • Installation
  • Reinstallation
  • Site labor
  • Equipment rental
  • Disposal
  • Construction work
  • Electrical labor
  • Plumbing labor

Customers should obtain written authorization before incurring any expense connected with a potential warranty claim.

What Will Diversified Spaces Do for an Approved Claim?

If Diversified Spaces determines that a product or component qualifies under the warranty, it may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective portion
  • Replace the defective portion
  • Replace the product
  • Substitute a reasonably comparable product
  • Provide a cash refund of the original purchase price, less reasonable depreciation, if the original product is no longer manufactured

Liability is limited to replacement parts and labor. Freight and installation costs are excluded.

Diversified Spaces determines the appropriate remedy.

The customer does not automatically have the right to select repair, replacement or refund.

Discontinued Products and Comparable Replacements

If a warranted product is no longer manufactured when a valid claim is made, Diversified Spaces may:

  • Substitute a reasonably comparable product; or
  • Provide a refund based on the original purchase price less reasonable depreciation

A replacement product may differ from the original in:

  • Design
  • Finish
  • Color
  • Dimensions
  • Hardware
  • Materials
  • Features

Exact color or grain matching is not guaranteed.

Incidental and Consequential Damages

Diversified Spaces excludes incidental and consequential damages, including:

  • Business losses
  • Damage to personal property
  • Third-party liabilities
  • Other indirect losses

The warranty remedy is limited to the product remedy stated by Diversified Spaces.

Some jurisdictions may provide additional rights that cannot be excluded.

Warranty Authorization Requirements

Customers should not independently repair, alter, dispose of or return a Diversified Spaces product before the claim has been reviewed.

Before authorization, customers should not:

  • Repair an epoxy surface
  • Refinish butcher block
  • Replace structural components
  • Modify electrical parts
  • Drill or cut the product
  • Dispose of the affected component
  • Return the product
  • Hire a repair contractor
  • Incur freight or installation expenses

Unauthorized work may prevent Diversified Spaces from identifying the original condition and determining whether the claim qualifies.

  • Confirm the applicable limited-lifetime, 12-year, one-year or six-month warranty
  • Identify the product and component involved
  • Distinguish normal wear from a potential manufacturing defect
  • Determine whether the condition may be freight or installation damage
  • Organize photographs and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate the claim with Diversified Spaces
  • Confirm whether repair, replacement or another remedy is authorized

Customers should not independently alter, repair, return or dispose of the affected product before Diversified Spaces has reviewed the claim and provided instructions.

Final decisions regarding warranty eligibility and whether to repair, replace, substitute or refund are made by Diversified Spaces under its published warranty terms.

Warranty notice: This page is a customer-friendly summary of Diversified Spaces’ published Limited Lifetime Warranty. It does not replace, extend or modify the manufacturer’s official warranty. Coverage is subject to original ownership, the delivery date, the exact product and component, proper storage, installation, use and maintenance, controlled temperature and humidity, exclusions and claim procedures. The official Diversified Spaces warranty applicable to the product will govern any claim.
