Screenflex Three-Year Limited Warranty Summary
D&D Learning Spaces is an authorized Screenflex dealer. Screenflex Portable Partitions manufactures portable room dividers, folding partitions, wall-mounted dividers, acoustic panels, office cubicles, display panels and other flexible space-division products for schools, offices, churches, healthcare facilities and multipurpose environments.
Screenflex products carry a three-year limited warranty from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship. Screenflex also asks customers to register or activate their product warranty after purchase.
What Does Screenflex’s Three-Year Limited Warranty Mean?
Screenflex warrants its products to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the date of delivery.
For customers, this means that Screenflex may repair or exchange a covered part if it develops a qualifying defect during normal use and service within the three-year warranty period.
The warranty generally requires that the Screenflex product:
- Remain with the original purchaser
- Be used normally and for its intended purpose
- Be operated according to Screenflex’s instructions
- Be properly installed when installation is required
- Be stored appropriately
- Not be misused, abused, neglected or altered
- Not be damaged by circumstances beyond Screenflex’s control
A three-year limited warranty does not guarantee that the product will remain completely free from ordinary wear, cosmetic changes or damage caused by handling and daily use. It covers qualifying defects originating in the product’s original materials or workmanship.
Who Is Covered?
Screenflex’s limited warranty applies to the original purchaser.
The published warranty does not state that coverage transfers when a divider or partition is:
- Sold
- Donated
- Transferred to another organization
- Given to a subsequent owner
Customers purchasing used or transferred Screenflex products should therefore not assume that the original warranty remains available.
Customers should retain:
- The original D&D Learning Spaces invoice
- The purchase-order number
- The Screenflex order number
- The product model or configuration
- The original delivery date
- Product labels and identifying information
- Photographs of the product
- Installation records, when applicable
- Warranty-registration confirmation
Proof of purchase and delivery information may be required to establish warranty eligibility.
What Is Covered?
Screenflex’s warranty covers qualifying defects in:
- Original materials
- Manufacturing
- Workmanship
- Covered product parts
- Original components that fail during normal use and service
Depending on the divider or partition, covered original components may include portions of the:
- Panel structure
- Steel end frames
- Hinges
- Casters
- Storage latches
- Handles
- Supporting hardware
- Wall-mounting system
- Other original Screenflex-manufactured parts
The presence of a component in this list does not guarantee that every instance of wear or damage is covered. Screenflex determines whether the reported condition resulted from a defect in materials or workmanship.
If Screenflex determines that a part is defective under normal use and service, its warranty obligation is limited to:
- Repairing the defective part; or
- Exchanging the defective part
Screenflex determines which remedy is appropriate.
What Is Not Covered?
Screenflex’s limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Misuse
- Abuse
- Improper storage
- Improper installation
- Neglect
- Damage beyond Screenflex’s control
- Improper operation
- Failure to follow product instructions
- Accidental impact
- Unauthorized modifications
- Unauthorized repairs
- Abnormal use
- Freight or handling damage that is not a manufacturing defect
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic deterioration caused by use
Damage caused by these conditions is not considered a defect in the product’s original materials or workmanship.
Product-Specific Warranty Periods
Screenflex publishes a three-year warranty for its products generally. The company also publishes specific three-year language for its Multi-Purpose Ballistic Panel.
Screenflex Portable Room Dividers — Three-Year Warranty
Screenflex portable room dividers carry a three-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.
Coverage applies to qualifying defects in original materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
This general warranty applies to Screenflex room-divider products unless a different written warranty is supplied for a specific product or order.
Screenflex Folding Partitions — Three-Year Warranty
Screenflex folding partitions are covered under the company’s general three-year limited warranty.
The warranty applies to qualifying defects rather than damage caused by:
- Forcing the panels
- Kicking or striking storage latches
- Moving the divider improperly
- Pushing the unit at excessive speed
- Colliding with thresholds or floor obstructions
- Improper folding or storage
- Hanging excessive weight on the panels
Customers should follow Screenflex’s operating instructions when opening, closing, moving and storing a folding partition.
Screenflex Wall-Mounted Dividers — Three-Year Warranty
Screenflex wall-mounted divider products are covered by the general three-year limited warranty, subject to proper installation.
Wall-mounted products must be:
- Attached to an appropriate wall structure
- Installed according to Screenflex’s instructions
- Installed using the supplied template and appropriate hardware
- Operated using the designated handles
- Folded and stored correctly
Damage resulting from improper mounting, unsuitable wall construction or failure to follow installation instructions may be excluded.
Screenflex Freestanding Dividers — Three-Year Warranty
Screenflex freestanding dividers carry a three-year limited warranty against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship.
Customers should:
- Keep the divider locked while moving it
- Use the handle when opening or repositioning it
- Avoid kicking the storage latches
- Avoid pushing it rapidly over thresholds
- Lock the panels into the frame before moving or storing the unit
- Use caster brakes appropriately
- Keep the unit within its intended indoor application
Improper operation may cause damage that is not covered as a manufacturing defect.
Screenflex Officeflex Cubicles — Three-Year Warranty
Officeflex cubicle products are covered under Screenflex’s general three-year warranty, unless different written terms are supplied for the specific product.
Coverage applies to qualifying defects in original materials and workmanship.
Damage caused by improper assembly, overloading, unauthorized accessories or product modification may not qualify.
Screenflex Acoustic and Display Products — Three-Year Warranty
Screenflex acoustic panels, display panels and related partition products generally carry the company’s three-year limited warranty.
The warranty covers qualifying manufacturing and material defects. It does not provide unconditional protection against:
- Fabric staining
- Cuts or punctures
- Damage caused by pins or sharp objects
- Surface soiling
- Improper cleaning
- Impact damage
- Normal appearance changes
- Damage caused by attaching excessive weight
Multi-Purpose Ballistic Panel — Three-Year Warranty
Screenflex’s Multi-Purpose Ballistic Panel carries a three-year limited warranty from the date of shipment against defects in materials and workmanship.
This product has its own important performance limitations.
Screenflex states that the panel meets the performance levels of:
- UL 752 Level 3
- NIJ Standard 0108.01 Type III-A
The panel is described as bullet-resistant—not bulletproof. It is not designed to protect against ammunition or weapons exceeding its tested performance levels.
The ballistic-product warranty covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship. It does not constitute a guarantee that personal injury or death cannot occur during a ballistic event.

Warranty Registration and Activation
Screenflex asks customers who have recently purchased a product to activate or register the three-year warranty.
Customers should register the product promptly and retain confirmation of the registration with their purchase records.
Information requested during registration may include:
- Customer or organization name
- Contact information
- Product information
- Purchase information
- Delivery information
- Photographs showing the product in use
Warranty registration helps Screenflex identify the purchaser, product and approximate warranty period if service is needed.
Screenflex has also published promotional language stating that registering a product may extend or double its warranty to six years. Because promotions and registration benefits may change, customers should confirm with Screenflex whether an extended-warranty offer applies to their exact product and purchase date.
The standard warranty that Screenflex consistently publishes is three years.
Normal Use and Service
Screenflex’s warranty applies when a product is used under normal conditions and according to its intended application.
Screenflex products are designed for applications such as:
- Classrooms
- School multipurpose rooms
- Offices
- Churches
- Healthcare facilities
- Government buildings
- Hospitality facilities
- Art displays
- Airports
- Recreation areas
- Training rooms
- Meeting and conference spaces
Normal use includes operating the product according to the instructions supplied for its particular configuration.
Using a product in a demanding setting does not remove the customer’s responsibility to operate, inspect and maintain it properly.
Proper Divider Operation
Screenflex provides specific operating instructions for its portable partitions.
Opening a Freestanding Divider
Customers should:
- Roll the locked unit to the intended location
- Release the storage latch using the latch handle
- Avoid kicking the latch
- Pull or push the panels using the handle
- Position each panel carefully
- Apply gentle pressure near the back of the hinge when positioning panels
- Use caster brakes where appropriate
Closing a Freestanding Divider
Customers should:
- Remove pins, papers and protruding objects
- Release caster brakes
- Fold the panels carefully against one another
- Fold the panels completely into the end frame
- Confirm that the storage latch has engaged
- Apply any supplied storage straps
- Keep the unit fully closed and locked while moving it
Failure to follow these procedures may damage the hinges, latches, panels, casters or frame.
Moving Screenflex Dividers
Portable dividers should be moved carefully.
Customers should not:
- Push the unit at high speed
- Push it rapidly over door thresholds
- Strike floor obstructions
- Move the divider while its panels are extended
- Allow panels to swing freely
- Drag a locked caster
- Move a tall divider through an opening without checking clearance
- Use the panels as handles where a designated handle is provided
The divider should be closed, secured and locked before it is moved to another location.
Damage caused by improper movement may be considered misuse rather than a manufacturing defect.
Attaching Items to Screenflex Panels
Screenflex panels may provide tackable surfaces, but customers must follow the product’s limits.
Screenflex’s operating instructions state that markerboards should be hung only on the first or second panels closest to each end frame.
The instructions also state that no more than 20 pounds should be hung on each side.
Excessive attached weight may:
- Interfere with divider operation
- Place stress on hinges
- Affect panel alignment
- Make the divider unstable
- Damage the panel surface
- Affect safe movement and storage
Damage caused by overloading a panel may not qualify for warranty coverage.
Improper Storage
Screenflex excludes damage caused by improper storage.
Products should be stored:
- Fully folded or closed
- With storage latches engaged
- With straps attached when supplied
- In a dry indoor location
- Away from standing water
- Away from extreme heat
- Away from sharp objects
- Where they will not be struck by carts or equipment
- On a level surface
Freestanding dividers should not be stored with the panels extended in a high-traffic location.
Fabric and Panel-Surface Care
Many Screenflex divider panels are covered with tackable fabric.
Normal fabric changes or damage caused after delivery may not qualify as a material or manufacturing defect.
Potentially excluded conditions include:
- Stains
- Soiling
- Cuts
- Punctures
- Snags
- Abrasion
- Fading
- Damage from unsuitable cleaners
- Damage caused by sharp pins or fasteners
- Damage caused by attached objects
- Impact damage
Customers should follow the cleaning instructions for the exact fabric or panel surface.
A cleaning product should be tested in an inconspicuous location before being applied broadly.
Casters, Hinges and Storage Latches
Casters, hinges and storage latches are operating components that should be inspected regularly.
Customers should check for:
- Loose hardware
- Damaged caster wheels
- Caster debris
- Bent or damaged hinges
- Misaligned panels
- Broken storage latches
- Loose handles
- Unusual resistance during opening or closing
A damaged product should be removed from service when continued use could worsen the damage or create a safety concern.
Screenflex’s warranty may cover a component that fails because of defective materials or workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by striking, kicking, forcing or improperly operating the component.
Wall-Mounted Divider Installation
Wall-mounted Screenflex dividers require proper attachment to the building structure.
Installation should follow:
- Screenflex’s assembly instructions
- The supplied mounting template
- Applicable building requirements
- Appropriate wall-anchoring practices
- Any project-specific architectural specifications
The wall and supporting structure must be suitable for the divider.
Screenflex’s warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation. Customers should use qualified installers when the wall construction or mounting requirements are uncertain.
Ballistic Panel Limitations
The Screenflex Multi-Purpose Ballistic Panel must not be described as bulletproof.
Screenflex states that ballistic protection can never be guaranteed under every possible condition.
Performance depends on factors including:
- Ammunition type
- Projectile velocity
- Number of impacts
- Impact location
- Angle of impact
- Distance
- Weapon type
- Condition of the product
- Whether the threat exceeds the tested protection level
The panel’s stated performance standards should be reviewed directly before it is specified for a safety or security application.
The ballistic warranty is a product materials-and-workmanship warranty. It is not a guarantee against injury, death or property damage.
Freight and Delivery Damage
Freight damage is generally separate from a manufacturing-warranty claim.
Customers should thoroughly inspect Screenflex products after opening the cartons.
Customers should retain:
- Shipping cartons
- Interior packaging
- Shipping labels
- Delivery receipts
- Bills of lading
- Photographs of packaging damage
- Photographs of the product before assembly or use
- Product and order information
Visible damage should be noted on the delivery receipt.
Concealed damage should be reported to D&D Learning Spaces promptly so the appropriate freight or delivery claim can be evaluated.
Return Authorization Requirements
Screenflex products should not be returned without prior authorization.
Screenflex’s published return instructions state that:
- Customer service must be contacted before a return
- Return authorization is required
- Unauthorized returns may be refused
- Standard returns generally must occur within 60 days of the invoice date
- Standard returns may be subject to a restocking fee
- The customer may be responsible for return freight
- Products must be returned in good, resalable condition
- Custom fabrics, custom colors or modified partitions may not be returnable
A standard product return is different from a warranty claim. Customers should contact D&D Learning Spaces before returning any Screenflex product or component.
What Will Screenflex Do for an Approved Claim?
If Screenflex determines that a product part is defective under normal use and service during the warranty period, it may:
- Repair the defective part; or
- Exchange the defective part
Screenflex’s obligation is limited to the repair or exchange of the part that proves defective.
The warranty does not automatically entitle the customer to:
- A completely new divider
- A refund
- Field labor
- On-site repair
- Removal and reinstallation
- Equipment rental
- Compensation for product downtime
- Incidental expenses
- Consequential damages
Screenflex determines the appropriate warranty remedy.
Incidental and Consequential Damages
Screenflex states that it is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.
This means the warranty remedy is generally limited to the covered product or defective part and does not extend to indirect losses such as:
- Lost use of a classroom or meeting area
- Replacement rental equipment
- Business interruption
- Labor not authorized by Screenflex
- Damage to surrounding property
- Other secondary expenses
Some jurisdictions restrict the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so certain legal limitations may vary.
Warranty Authorization Requirements
Customers should not independently repair, modify, return or dispose of a Screenflex product before the claim has been reviewed.
Before authorization, customers should not:
- Replace hinges or frame parts
- Modify the caster system
- Drill into the frame
- Alter the panels
- Cut or replace the fabric
- Modify a wall-mounted installation
- Weld or straighten metal components
- Dispose of damaged parts
- Ship the product to Screenflex
- Incur outside repair expenses
Unauthorized modifications or repairs may prevent Screenflex from determining the original cause of the reported issue.
Warranty Claim Requirements
A Screenflex warranty claim should include enough information to identify the original order, product and reported defect.
Customers should be prepared to provide:
- The original invoice
- The D&D Learning Spaces order number
- The purchase-order number
- The Screenflex order number
- The product type
- The model or configuration
- The original delivery date
- Warranty-registration confirmation, when available
- A detailed description of the problem

- Photographs of labels or identifying information
- Information about how the product was installed
- Information about how the product was operated
- Information about how it was stored

A short video may also be useful when the issue involves:

- Product instability

Warranty notice: This page is a customer-friendly summary of Screenflex’s published three-year limited warranty. It does not replace, extend or modify the manufacturer’s official warranty. Coverage is subject to original ownership, the product’s delivery date, proper installation, operation and storage, warranty exclusions and Screenflex’s claim procedures.
