Project Description
The Compton High School science programs provide students with a variety of real world science, engineering, and technology experiences to prepare them to succeed at college, the workforce and beyond. Learning is facilitated in labs. The curriculum is based on the California Science the Next Generation Science Standards to emphasize project-based learning through self-directed learning with independent critical thinking and large group collaboration.
The high school has four Biology Wet Labs as two labs share a support space. Biology activities include classroom instruction, laboratory investigations, individual and small-group projects, and observation of organisms, utilization of technology and probe ware.
