Landscape Forms Limited Warranty Summary

D&D Learning Spaces is a Landscape Forms dealer. Landscape Forms manufactures outdoor site furnishings, lighting, shade structures, planters, architectural elements, power products and custom furnishings for educational, civic, corporate and public environments.

Most standard Landscape Forms site furnishings carry a three-year limited warranty. Lighting, shade structures, partner products and selected components have separate warranty periods ranging from one year to 15 years.

What Does Landscape Forms’ Limited Warranty Mean?

Landscape Forms warrants most of its standard products against defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the date of invoice, unless a different product-specific warranty applies.

For customers, this means that Landscape Forms may repair, replace or refund the purchase price of a covered product if an authorized Landscape Forms service representative determines that the product is defective under the applicable warranty.

The warranty applies to qualifying manufacturing and material defects under normal use. It does not guarantee that outdoor furniture, finishes, fabrics or other materials will remain visually unchanged after exposure to sunlight, weather and regular use.

For the Cochran and Morrison product families, Landscape Forms defines normal conditions as use within protected public spaces, such as corporate campuses or community courtyards.

A three-year warranty does not mean that every Landscape Forms product or component has the same coverage. LED lighting generally carries six-year coverage, solar components carry three-year coverage, Kornegay Design products carry two-year coverage and certain partner products have their own separate warranties.

Who Is Covered?

Landscape Forms’ standard warranty applies to products supplied by Landscape Forms and used for their intended application.

Certain partner warranties expressly apply to the original purchaser, owner or end customer and may require installation by an authorized Landscape Forms dealer or distributor. Because ownership and installation requirements differ among product families, customers should retain complete purchasing and installation records.

Customers should retain:

  • The original D&D Learning Spaces invoice
  • The purchase-order number
  • The Landscape Forms product name and model
  • The invoice, shipment, installation or delivery date
  • Product labels and serial numbers
  • Installation records
  • Maintenance records
  • Photographs of the complete product and affected area

What Is Covered?

Landscape Forms’ standard warranty generally covers qualifying defects in:

  • Original materials
  • Manufacturing
  • Workmanship
  • Structural components
  • Product-specific electrical components
  • Product-specific lighting components
  • Partner products during their applicable warranty periods

Coverage depends on proper installation, normal use and appropriate maintenance.

When Landscape Forms approves a claim, it may, at its option:

  • Repair the defective product
  • Replace the defective product
  • Replace a defective component
  • Refund the product’s purchase price

Landscape Forms determines the appropriate remedy after inspection by an authorized service representative.

What Is Not Covered?

Landscape Forms’ standard warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Accidents
  • Alteration
  • Misuse
  • Tampering
  • Negligence
  • Abuse
  • Unauthorized repairs
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Improper installation
  • Improper storage
  • Failure to follow maintenance instructions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Normal weathering
  • Environmental color changes
  • Damage caused by unsuitable electrical power
  • Damage caused by severe or abnormal weather
  • Freight, unloading or handling damage where separately excluded

Unauthorized repairs or alterations void the Landscape Forms lighting warranty and may affect coverage under other product warranties.

Product-Specific Warranty Periods

Landscape Forms publishes separate warranty terms for its standard site furnishings, lighting, custom products and partner-manufactured product families.

Standard Landscape Forms Site Furnishings — Three-Year Warranty

Most Landscape Forms standard site furnishings carry a three-year warranty from the date of invoice against defects in materials and workmanship.

This is the general warranty period unless a product-specific exception or partner warranty applies.

Bravo Bistro — One-Year Warranty

Bravo Bistro products carry a one-year warranty.

Coverage applies to qualifying defects in materials and workmanship, subject to Landscape Forms’ general exclusions.

Harvest, Americana and Glide Color Changes — Not Covered

The standard warranty does not cover color changes, including fading caused by weathering and sun exposure, for:

  • Harvest
  • Americana
  • Glide

Landscape Forms also does not guarantee or warrant an exact color match for replacement parts. Outdoor furniture that has weathered may differ visibly from a newly manufactured replacement component.

Monterey Tradewind Fabric — Five-Year Performance and Three-Year Color Warranty

Tradewind fabric used in the Monterey product line carries:

  • Five years for fabric performance
  • Three years for color loss

These periods apply to the fabric rather than automatically extending to every component in the Monterey product.

Landscape Forms Lighting Warranties

LED Lighting Products — Six-Year Warranty

Landscape Forms LED lighting products carry a six-year warranty from the date of shipment on materials and component parts.

Coverage applies to qualifying defects in materials or workmanship. Clean electrical power is required. Damage caused by accident, alteration, misuse, tampering, negligence or abuse is excluded.

Unauthorized repairs or alterations void the Landscape Forms lighting warranty.

Solar Lighting Components — Three-Year Warranty

Solar-product components carry a three-year warranty.

This period applies specifically to the solar components rather than to every other part of the lighting product.

Aluminum and Steel Lighting Poles — Pole Manufacturer’s Warranty

Aluminum and steel poles are covered according to the applicable pole manufacturer’s warranty.

Poles stored before installation should be:

  • Protected from retained moisture
  • Kept well ventilated
  • Removed promptly from shipping and packing materials
  • Rotated in inventory using a first-in, first-out approach

These precautions help prevent premature finish deterioration and storage damage.

Extended Lighting and Pole Warranties

Extended warranty coverage may be available for LED lighting products and poles after Landscape Forms evaluates the project.

A surcharge may apply.

Kornegay Design Warranty

Kornegay Design Products — Two-Year Warranty

Kornegay Design, a Landscape Forms company, warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the original delivery date under normal use and service.

The warranty does not cover products affected by:

  • Mishandling
  • Misuse
  • Neglect
  • Accidents
  • Vandalism
  • Alteration
  • Modification
  • Maintenance practices that do not follow Kornegay Design’s instructions

Naturally occurring changes in concrete surfaces caused by environmental exposure are not covered. Significant cracking that affects structural integrity should be reported immediately.

Kornegay Planter Drainage Requirements

The Kornegay Design warranty is void if planters are:

  • Ordered without drainage holes
  • Drilled after production outside the normal casting process

Customers must also follow the applicable Product Care and Maintenance instructions.

Kornegay Freight Inspection Requirements

Purchasers must inspect Kornegay Design products in the presence of the delivery driver.

Photographs of damage must be taken while the object is still attached to the pallet to support a claim involving carrier mishandling or inadequate packing.

Replacement, at Kornegay Design’s discretion, is the sole remedy under its warranty.

Renson Cove and Scenic Structure Warranties

Landscape Forms and Renson provide product-specific coverage for Cove and Scenic outdoor structures.

  • Aluminum castings
  • Mounting bases

Renson Accessories — Three-Year Warranty

  • Products and accessories were supplied by Landscape Forms and Renson
  • The product was correctly assembled
  • Surface and wall connections comply with building regulations
  • The defect occurred during normal use and maintenance
  • The defect resulted from a material, construction or manufacturing problem
  • Installation was performed by an authorized Landscape Forms and Renson dealer

Product modifications or materials not offered by Landscape Forms and Renson may suspend or void coverage.

Renson Claim Reporting Deadline

A Renson defect must be reported in writing within two months after it is discovered.

Claims reported after that deadline are considered inadmissible under the published warranty. Customers should not attempt repairs without guidance from Landscape Forms.

Studio 431 Custom Product Warranties

Studio 431 Custom Products — Three-Year Warranty

Custom products manufactured through Landscape Forms’ Studio 431 carry a three-year warranty from the date of invoice against defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Five years, or
  • 50,000 operating hours

whichever occurs first, beginning on the shipment date. Clean power is required.

Improper installation, neglect, tampering, vandalism, misuse, natural aging and use in harsh environments are excluded.

Escofet Warranty

Escofet Concrete Products — Up to Five Years

Escofet concrete products carry warranty coverage for up to five years.

Escofet Non-Concrete Accessories and Components — Two-Year Warranty

The warranty may provide repair or replacement without charge but excludes damage caused by:

  • Unloading
  • Handling
  • Installation
  • Abuse

Outdoor Weathering and Color Changes

Landscape Forms furniture is designed for outdoor environments, but outdoor exposure naturally changes the appearance of materials and finishes.

The standard warranty does not guarantee:

  • Permanent color retention
  • Exact matching between aged and replacement parts
  • Freedom from normal fading
  • Freedom from normal weathering
  • Identical appearance between products exposed to different conditions

Harvest, Americana and Glide specifically exclude color changes caused by weathering and sunlight.

Proper Installation and Authorized Dealers

Several Landscape Forms and partner warranties require proper installation according to:

  • Manufacturer instructions
  • Building regulations
  • Applicable electrical codes
  • Technical product limits
  • Surface and wall connection requirements

Renson structures must be installed by an authorized Landscape Forms and Renson dealer to qualify for the stated warranty. Unauthorized installation or repair may void coverage.

Electrical Installation and Clean-Power Requirements

Lighting, powered furniture and electrical accessories must receive suitable electrical power and be installed according to applicable codes.

Coverage may be denied when damage is caused by:

  • Improper wiring
  • Unsupported electrical loads
  • Power fluctuations
  • Unprotected wire connections
  • Controls installed outside waterproof enclosures
  • Water or weather entering electrical components
  • Unauthorized repairs
  • Noncompliant installation

Renson excludes damage caused by power fluctuations exceeding the default supply by 10 percent or more.

Harsh and Coastal Environments

Some partner-product warranties exclude corrosion or deterioration caused by:

  • High salinity
  • Coastal air
  • Industrial environments
  • Manufacturing pollutants
  • Chemical exposure
  • Abnormal humidity
  • Severe weather
  • Hail
  • Lightning
  • Fire or water damage

Customers should disclose harsh environmental conditions during product selection so the appropriate materials and finishes can be specified.

Freight and Delivery Damage

Freight and delivery damage may be handled separately from a standard product warranty.

Customers should inspect shipments immediately and retain:

  • Shipping pallets
  • Cartons and wrapping
  • Shipping labels
  • Delivery receipts
  • Photographs of packaging
  • Photographs of the product before it is removed from the pallet

Kornegay Design specifically requires photographs of damaged products while they remain attached to the pallet.

Unauthorized Repairs and Modifications

Customers should not repair, alter, drill, modify or replace product components before Landscape Forms reviews a potential claim.

Unauthorized work may:

  • Void the warranty
  • Prevent inspection of the original defect
  • Create safety concerns
  • Eliminate eligibility for reimbursement
  • Affect related component warranties

Landscape Forms specifically instructs customers not to attempt repairs to Renson structures without manufacturer guidance.

What Will Landscape Forms Do for an Approved Claim?

When Landscape Forms determines that a product qualifies under the applicable warranty, it may, at its option:

  • Repair the defective product
  • Replace the defective product
  • Replace the affected component
  • Refund the product’s purchase price

The exact remedy can differ for partner products. For example, Kornegay Design limits its remedy to replacement, while Schréder and Wiremold generally provide repair or replacement at their discretion.

Warranty Claim Requirements

A Landscape Forms claim should include:

  • Proof of purchase
  • The original invoice
  • The purchase-order number
  • Product name and model
  • Invoice, shipment, installation or delivery date
  • A detailed description of the problem
  • A photograph of the complete product

  • Installation information
  • Electrical installation details when applicable

Additional documentation may be required for partner products.
