IPEVO Limited Warranty Summary
D&D Learning Spaces is an authorized dealer for IPEVO educational technology products. IPEVO manufactures document cameras, visualizers, video-conferencing cameras, microphones, object cameras, scanners, wireless display products, AI-enabled communication devices, stands, mounts and related classroom technology.
IPEVO’s current United States warranty provides product-specific coverage of either:
- 36 months for most current IPEVO document cameras
- 24 months for video-conferencing products, object cameras, communication tools, scanner accessories, AI devices, batteries and many related accessories
Coverage begins on the date of delivery following the original retail purchase.
What Does IPEVO’s Limited Warranty Mean?
IPEVO warrants that a covered product purchased from an authorized retailer—and the IPEVO-branded accessories originally included in its box—will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period assigned to that product.
For customers, this means that IPEVO may repair, replace or, for a defective primary product, refund the amount originally paid if the product develops a qualifying defect during the applicable warranty period. Shipping charges originally paid are not included in a warranty refund.
Depending on the claim, IPEVO may:
- Repair the defective product or component
- Replace the defective product or component
- Replace it with a reasonably equivalent product of similar function
- Refund the amount paid by the original purchaser, excluding shipping
- Repair or replace a defective in-box IPEVO accessory
Repairs and replacements may use either new or refurbished products and components. IPEVO determines the appropriate remedy.
A limited warranty does not mean every type of damage is covered. The warranty applies to qualifying defects originating in the product’s materials or workmanship—not normal wear, accidental damage, improper use, cosmetic damage, batteries beyond their separate coverage, or non-IPEVO accessories.
Who Is Covered?
IPEVO’s warranty covers an eligible product purchased from an authorized retailer.
Unlike many manufacturer warranties, IPEVO’s limited warranty is transferable from the original purchaser to later owners. However, transferring the product:
- Does not restart the warranty
- Does not extend the original coverage period
- Does not expand the remedies available under the warranty
The warranty continues to be measured from the original delivery date following the first retail purchase.
Customers should retain:
- The original D&D Learning Spaces invoice
- The purchase-order number
- The IPEVO product name
- The model number
- The original retail purchase date
- The delivery date
- The product serial number, when applicable
- The original packaging
- All in-box components and accessories
- Photographs or video showing the reported issue
Proof of purchase is required when a product or accessory is returned for warranty service.
What Is Covered?
IPEVO’s limited warranty covers qualifying defects in:
- Original product materials
- Manufacturing
- Workmanship
- Covered product components
- IPEVO-branded accessories originally supplied in the product box
- Necessary IPEVO software incorporated into or supplied for operation of the product
The warranty does not automatically cover separately purchased accessories, third-party accessories, consumable parts or hardware that was not originally provided in the product box.
Warranty Coverage After a Repair or Replacement
A product or IPEVO accessory repaired or replaced under warranty remains covered for the longer of:
- 90 days from delivery of the repaired or replacement item, or
- The remaining portion of the original warranty period
Repairing or replacing the product does not create a completely new two- or three-year warranty.
What Is Not Covered?
IPEVO’s limited warranty does not cover:
- Products marked “sample”
- Products marked “Not for Sale”
- Products sold “as is”
- Consumable parts, including batteries except under their separate battery warranty
- Replacement parts not supplied by IPEVO
- Unauthorized modifications
- Product alterations or tampering
- Improper installation
- Improper maintenance
- Unauthorized or improper repairs
- Hardware not originally supplied in the box
- In-box accessories that are not IPEVO-branded
- Most software not necessary for operation of the product
- Ordinary use and wear
- Cosmetic damage
- Scratches
- Dings and dents
- Broken plastic surrounding connection ports
Damage caused by abuse, neglect, improper use, improper handling, improper storage, improper testing or failure to follow IPEVO’s product instructions is also excluded.
The warranty further excludes damage caused by:
- Electrical-power breakdowns
- Power fluctuations or interruptions
- Telecommunications-network failures
- Heat
- Humidity
- Moisture
- Operating-temperature conditions
- Fire
- Lightning
- Flood
- Tornado
- Earthquake
- Hurricane
- Other accidents or acts of God
IPEVO’s document identifies an ordinary operating-temperature range of approximately 0°C to 45°C, or 32°F to 113°F, in connection with its environmental exclusions.

Authorized-Retailer Requirement
The IPEVO product must have been purchased from an authorized retailer to qualify under the published limited warranty.
Customers purchasing through D&D Learning Spaces should retain the original invoice as evidence of:
- The authorized sales channel
- Original retail purchase
- Product model
- Purchase date
- Warranty eligibility
Products purchased from an unauthorized reseller, liquidation source or unknown third party may not qualify.
Proper Installation, Use and Maintenance
IPEVO products must be installed, used, handled, stored and tested according to the product manual and other instructions supplied by IPEVO.
Customers should:
- Use approved cables and power adapters
- Use the product within its stated environmental limits
- Protect ports from excessive force
- Avoid liquid exposure
- Avoid dropping or striking the device
- Store the product in an appropriate indoor environment
- Keep camera hinges and joints free from excessive force
- Avoid unsupported modifications
- Install mounts and stands correctly
- Use compatible operating systems and software
- Complete recommended firmware and software updates when appropriate
Damage caused by failure to follow the product documentation may not qualify for coverage.
Electrical and Network Damage
IPEVO excludes damage caused by breakdowns, fluctuations or interruptions in:
- Electrical power
- Telecommunications networks
Customers should use suitable power connections and appropriate surge protection where practical.
Damage caused by:
- Power surges
- Voltage fluctuations
- Improper power adapters
- Unsupported USB power sources
- Network interruptions
- Third-party electrical equipment
may not qualify as a defect in the IPEVO product.
Heat, Humidity and Moisture
Damage associated with heat, humidity, moisture or unsuitable environmental conditions is excluded.
IPEVO products should be protected from:
- Standing water
- Liquid spills
- Condensation
- Excessive humidity
- Direct outdoor exposure
- Excessive heat
- Storage in vehicles or uncontrolled rooms
- Blocked ventilation
- Rapid temperature changes
IPEVO’s warranty refers to an ordinary operating-temperature range of approximately 32°F to 113°F, although the exact operating and storage requirements for the specific product manual should govern.
Software Coverage
IPEVO’s warranty generally excludes software except for software incorporated into the product or supplied by IPEVO when that software is necessary for the product’s operation.
The warranty does not guarantee that:
- Every third-party application will remain compatible
- A particular operating system will continue supporting the product
- Network-based services will always remain available
- Software will function without interruption
- Data or settings will be preserved during repair or replacement
Customers should back up any relevant settings, files or account information before returning a device.
Cosmetic Damage and Normal Wear
IPEVO does not cover ordinary wear or cosmetic damage, including:
- Scratches
- Dings
- Dents
- Surface marks
- Broken plastic around connection ports
- Appearance changes caused by regular handling
A cosmetic condition may be excluded even when the product remains usable.
A failure affecting the product’s intended function may be evaluated differently, but IPEVO makes the final determination.
Thirty-Day Money-Back Guarantee
IPEVO also provides a 30-day money-back guarantee to the original purchaser.
To qualify, the product must be returned:
- Within 30 days of the original purchase date
- In its original condition
- In the original packaging
- With every in-box component and accessory
- With a copy of the original bill of sale, receipt or invoice
- Using IPEVO’s required return process
The original purchaser is responsible for return shipping. Original shipping charges are not refunded.
Money-Back Guarantee Fees
IPEVO’s published policy states that returns under the 30-day guarantee are subject to:
- A $7 restocking fee per product
- An additional $13 shipping deduction per product when the product was originally purchased from IPEVO with free shipping
These amounts are deducted from the refund.
The return must be sent using a signature-required shipping service, such as FedEx or UPS.
IPEVO states that an accepted refund is generally processed within four weeks after the returned product is received.
The 30-day money-back guarantee is a direct-return policy for the original purchaser and should not be confused with a warranty claim through D&D Learning Spaces.
Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, the customer must notify IPEVO during the applicable warranty period and describe the reported failure.
Before returning anything, the customer must obtain:
- An approved Return Merchandise Authorization number
- IPEVO’s shipping instructions
The product must then be returned with:
- The required in-box components and accessories
- The original bill of sale, receipt or invoice
- Any other information requested by IPEVO
IPEVO may instruct the customer to return only the defective accessory rather than the complete product.
Return Shipping Responsibility
For an eligible warranty claim:
- The customer pays to ship the defective product or accessory to IPEVO
- IPEVO pays to ship the repaired or replacement product back to the customer
The customer assumes the risk of loss or damage during the shipment to IPEVO. Appropriate packing and trackable shipping are therefore important.
When a product is determined not to be covered, the customer is responsible for all return, inspection and shipping costs.
Warranty-Service Timing
IPEVO states that accepted warranty service will be performed within 14 days after it receives the product.
This time refers to IPEVO’s warranty-service process after receipt and acceptance of the returned item. It does not necessarily include:
- Shipping time to IPEVO
- Shipping time back to the customer
- Delays caused by incomplete documentation
- Delays caused by missing accessories
- Time required to obtain the RMA
- Product-availability delays
What Will IPEVO Do for an Approved Claim?
For an approved product claim, IPEVO may:
- Repair the product
- Replace the product
- Replace the affected component
- Supply a new or refurbished replacement
- Provide a reasonably equivalent product of similar function
- Refund the original amount paid, excluding shipping
For an approved claim involving an IPEVO-branded in-box accessory, IPEVO may repair or replace the accessory.
These remedies are the customer’s sole remedies under the published limited warranty.
Limitation of Liability
IPEVO limits its total cumulative liability to the amount originally paid by the original purchaser for the product, to the extent permitted by law.
The warranty also excludes responsibility for certain indirect losses, including:
- Consequential damages
- Incidental damages
- Exemplary damages
- Punitive damages
- Special damages
- Lost data
- Lost revenue
- Lost profits
- Damage to buildings, wiring, fixtures or peripheral equipment
- Property damage
- Injury or death
Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so customers may have additional legal rights depending on state or local law.

Customers should not ship an IPEVO product or accessory without first receiving an RMA number and return instructions.
Before authorization, customers should not:
- Open or alter the product
- Attempt an internal repair
- Replace parts with non-IPEVO components
- Dispose of the product
- Remove labels or serial numbers
- Ship it without the requested accessories
