Humanscale Limited Warranty Summary

D&D Learning Spaces is an authorized Humanscale dealer. Humanscale provides limited warranty protection for its ergonomic seating, monitor arms, sit-stand workstations, keyboard systems, lighting, technology accessories and other workplace products.

Warranty periods vary by product and component. Many Humanscale seating and ergonomic accessory products carry warranties of 10 or 15 years, while upholstery, cushions, electrical products, mats and selected accessories have shorter coverage periods.

What Does Humanscale’s Limited Warranty Mean?

Humanscale warrants that its products will be in good working order when received and will remain free from qualifying defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period.

For customers, this means that Humanscale may repair or replace a covered product or component if it fails during the warranty period because of a qualifying manufacturing or material defect.

Humanscale warranties are available only to the original customer and are non-transferable. To qualify, the product must have been purchased directly from Humanscale or through an authorized third-party vendor, such as D&D Learning Spaces.

A limited warranty does not mean that every part of a Humanscale product is covered for the same length of time. For example, the structural portion of a chair may carry a 15-year warranty, while its fabric, cushions, arm pads, casters and wood components are covered for five years.

Who Is Covered?

Humanscale’s warranty applies to the original customer who purchased the product directly from Humanscale or through an authorized seller.

The warranty does not transfer when the product is:

  • Resold
  • Donated
  • Transferred to another organization
  • Given to a subsequent owner

Customers should retain their original D&D Learning Spaces invoice, purchase-order number and product information in case warranty service is required.

What Is Covered?

Humanscale’s warranty covers qualifying defects in:

  • Original materials
  • Product construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Workmanship
  • Covered mechanical components
  • Covered electrical components
  • Product parts listed within the applicable warranty category

The product must be installed, operated and maintained according to Humanscale’s instructions and used for its intended purpose.

If Humanscale determines that a product or part is defective under the warranty, it may, at its option:

  • Repair the defective product or part
  • Replace the defective product or part
  • Provide the same or a comparable replacement

A repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period.

What Is Not Covered?

Humanscale’s warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidents
  • Neglect
  • Product abuse
  • Misuse
  • Improper installation
  • Improper operation
  • Failure to follow installation instructions
  • Failure to use the product as intended
  • Unauthorized service or maintenance
  • Unauthorized modifications or tampering
  • Owner alterations
  • Freight or carrier damage
  • Damage caused while moving the product from one location to another
  • Acts of God
  • Electrical power problems
  • Use of parts not supplied by Humanscale
  • Failure to perform preventive maintenance
  • Damage caused by third-party peripheral equipment

Humanscale also excludes injury or damage associated with installing or using a product in a manner that does not comply with its installation instructions, product literature or operating requirements.
