Fōmcore Lifetime Warranty Summary

D&D Learning Spaces is an authorized Fōmcore dealer. Fōmcore furniture is made for demanding educational and commercial environments and is backed by a strong manufacturer’s warranty.

What Does Fōmcore’s Lifetime Warranty Mean?

Fōmcore warrants most products it manufactures against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product under normal use. In practical terms, this means that the original customer is protected if a covered product fails because it was improperly manufactured or because a component or material was defective when the furniture was made.

A lifetime warranty does not necessarily mean that every part of the furniture will remain in like-new condition indefinitely. The warranty applies to qualifying manufacturing defects—not ordinary deterioration caused by years of use.

To remain eligible for coverage:

• The furniture must remain with the original owner of record.
• The product must be used normally and for its intended purpose.
• The furniture must be properly cared for and maintained.
• Any return, repair or replacement must be authorized by Fōmcore in advance.

The warranty is non-transferable. If the furniture is sold, donated or otherwise transferred to another owner, the lifetime warranty does not transfer with it.

What Is Covered?

The lifetime warranty generally covers defects in:

• Materials used to manufacture the product
• Product construction
• Workmanship
• Fōmcore-manufactured components, unless a different warranty period is specifically listed for that product or component

When Fōmcore determines that a claim qualifies under the warranty, the company may, at its discretion:

• Repair the product
• Replace the affected product
• Issue a credit

Fōmcore determines which of these remedies is appropriate. The repair, replacement or credit is provided to the original owner after the claim and any return or replacement have been authorized by Fōmcore.

What Is Not Covered?

Fōmcore’s lifetime warranty does not cover damage or deterioration caused by:

• Normal wear and aging
• Normal changes in upholstery textiles
• Normal compression or aging of filling materials
• Normal wear or changes to finishes
• Damage occurring during transit
• Negligence
• Abuse
• Abnormal or unintended use
• Misuse
• Accidents
• Unauthorized alterations or modifications
• Improper care or maintenance

Damage caused by these conditions may void the warranty. Fōmcore also states that it is not responsible for consequential damages, such as indirect losses resulting from a product being unavailable or unusable.

Product-Specific Warranty Periods

Although most Fōmcore-manufactured products are covered by the lifetime warranty, several product categories and components have their own limited warranty periods.

Weather Resistant Series — Three-Year Warranty

Products in the Fōmcore Weather Resistant Series are covered for three years from the date they are shipped by Fōmcore.

This warranty period recognizes that weather-resistant furniture is used in more demanding indoor-outdoor or outdoor environments. The three-year warranty covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship but does not cover normal weathering, fading, aging, improper storage, misuse or damage resulting from environmental exposure beyond the product’s intended application.

Power Tower — One-Year Warranty

The Fōmcore Power Tower is covered for one year from the date of shipment by Fōmcore.

The Power Tower’s electrical and power-delivery components are therefore not covered by the general lifetime warranty. Claims remain subject to proper use, care and authorization by Fōmcore.

Integrated Power — Three-Year Warranty

Fōmcore products equipped with Integrated Power carry a three-year warranty from the date of shipment by Fōmcore for the integrated power components.

This limited warranty applies to qualifying defects in the built-in power system. Damage caused by improper electrical connections, liquid exposure, misuse, alterations, power surges or other external causes may not qualify for coverage.

The furniture surrounding the integrated power system may still be covered under the applicable furniture warranty. The three-year term specifically applies to the integrated power components.

Height-Adjustable Mechanisms — Five-Year Warranty

Fōmcore height-adjustable mechanisms are covered for five years from the date of shipment by Fōmcore.

This limited warranty applies to the mechanism that raises, lowers or adjusts the product. Other portions of the furniture may remain subject to the general lifetime warranty, depending on the product.

Summary of Fōmcore Warranty Periods

Filing a Fōmcore Warranty Claim Through D&D Learning Spaces

Customers who purchased their Fōmcore furniture through D&D Learning Spaces should contact us for assistance with a potential warranty claim. Please be prepared to provide:

• The original purchase or order information
• The product model or SKU, when available
• A description of the problem
• Clear photographs showing the product and affected area
• The product’s location and current owner information
• Any additional documentation requested by Fōmcore

D&D Learning Spaces can help review the information and coordinate the claim with Fōmcore. Fōmcore must authorize a return, repair or replacement before warranty service is performed. Final decisions regarding coverage and the appropriate remedy are made by Fōmcore under the terms of its warranty.
